Preloved Fashion Takeover
Preloved fashion has taken the world by storm, yet it’s important to know why consuming fashion more consciously is taking centre stage. It’s a fact: there are too many clothes on our planet. According to Cleanclothes.org, a ‘staggering 100 billion items of clothing is produced each year’, so if we keep creating new clothes at this rapid rate, it will only guarantee an unsustainable future.
We need to slow down. Slow Fashion is a movement that works towards creating an industry that benefits the planet and all people. Through championing sustainable practices such as reusing, repairing and recycling clothes and textiles, we can all contribute to a greener future. ‘Re-loving fashion that already exists’ is the Preloved Fashion Pop-Up mantra and welcomes all to support a slower, more considered approach to fashion.
