LET'S RETHINK

Rethinking is when you take more time to think about your next action before doing it.

To help the Earth get better we need to rethink about our daily activities.

5 R's

Let's learn about the five Rs; Recover, Reuse, Repair, Recycle & Reduce

RECOVER

Recover means that we fix items that can't be recycled. For example; finding an old teddy bear with rips, mend it back and play with it again.

REUSE

Instead of throwing away an item, let's think creatively because you might be able to turn it into something new.  For example, a jam jar can be washed out and used for water when painting.
Most items can be reused for another purpose.

REPAIR

If something is broken, torn or split sometimes you don't have to throw it away you can fix it back up, just like the teddy bear. Learn a new skill such as sewing to repair those clothes with holes.

RECYCLE

Recycling is so important as it's the process of collecting materials that would be thrown away as rubbish and transforming them into new products. Recycling helps reduce waste and energy.

REDUCE

To reduce means to minimise the amount of resources we use and waste we generate by being more sustainable with our products and materials. For example, turning off the light helps reduce electricity energy.
